Time at Dale: Nathan made 139 appearances covering four seasons at Dale, 2006-10, playing in two Play Off campaigns including the Final at Wembley. He was a pivotal player in the side under Steve Parkin and Keith Hill that finally saw promotion for the first time since the 1960’s in 2009/10 but rejected a one-year contract offer from Rochdale AFC in favour of signing a two-year deal with Burton Albion. He revealed he had three contracts to consider but chose ‘the Brewers’ after they offered him the two-year deal he desired.
Favourite memories are gaining promotion against Northampton Town at home and reaching Wembley after the semi-final victory over Darlington at Spotland before his biggest disappointment, the loss against Stockport County, where he unfortunately scored an own goal.
What are you doing since leaving Dale?: Nathan returned to his first Club, Scunthorpe United, as kit manager in June 2015 after the departure of Matt Spencer following on a playing career there, where he made 243 league appearances and scored his only goal for the club in the Division Three play-off semi-final against Lincoln in 2003.
He spent three years with Burton Albion and then stays with non-league sides Grantham Town and Corby Town before being involved with the Academy (Centre of Excellence) Community set-up and first team duties at Scunthorpe using his vast experience in playing and coaching.
